Ifarm360 has partnered with SICAN, a Community Based Organisation (CBO) in Rusinga Island in Kenya to grow grafted fruit tree seedlings at a commercial scale. These include grafted mango seedlings, passion fruit seedlings, avocado seedlings and tissue culture bananas. SICAN is an established agribusiness CBO whose key members are people living with disabilities. The group has been successful in operating a fruit tree nursery for over 5 years with all the relevant infrastructure, certification and expertise. Grafted fruit seedlings have a ready market as they mature faster (fruiting in 2-3 years), highly productive, produce better quality fruits, and are disease resistant (thus grown organically). Planting fruit trees has many environmental benefits, from cleaner air to reduced energy costs and green jobs.We are asking investors to support this venture with a return on investment of 15% in 6 months and a wider social and environmental impact. Your investment per unit covers:
Please note: For every seedling sold, the community organization will receive 60% of the profit. This will support SICAN's journey towards A MILLION FRUIT TREES
